My husband seems to think I have a sixth sense. My issue is not that I see dead people, rather, dead spaces. Walls that are crying out for art, old furniture that needs a new twist, flowers that desperately need to be arranged instead of stuffed in a vase.
I have a theory about interiors, and our home has become my biggest piece of evidence – people love surroundings for reasons they aren’t even aware of. Warm lighting, soft textures, fresh smells, and a pinch of individuality can not only spice up a room, but change the flavor altogether.
Let’s face it, we would all love to win a life-changing home makeover contest and have every detail perfected. The odds are, however, that this is not likely to happen. I have yet to become discouraged by this, though. I am perfecting every detail, but I’m doing it at a slightly slower pace.
Less really can be more. The projects you will find here are typically inexpensive. It may take a little while, but over the course of time, I will teach you how to make your house into everyone’s dream – a home.
